An example of some designs I am currently busy with and some rubbish doodles that I do for testing

This is when I'm trying out different eye styles and colours. I'm trying to get the right shaped face for the hair and features. I generally decide on a type and then play more with hues before I move it to the drawing I'm working on. I used the eyes here for my Chibi Kirito. 

Looks silly doesn't it? They all do in the beginning. Every design of mine goes through tons and tons of redrawing. This is version 5 so far I think. In the end it will be one of 7 DustSpells from Studio Ghibli's Spirited Away. The aim of these drawings is screen print them on to fabric and make cute patterned shirts and dresses. If you're in Cape Town area in December then you might see them at UCON 2016.

So this is a rarity. It is a request from a customer. In the end it will be a Winter Wyvern from DOTA. Currently...? It's a MASSIVE work in Progress. I've given myself a time limit of a year to play around and see what I can do. The wings are definitely fun to work with. I spent the weekend feeding the pigeons in the company gardens so that I could sketch their wings and flight movement.

I'm sure every one recognizes this. But in case you're like my mother then let me just correct you. It's not a big rabbit. It's Totoro from My Neighbour Totoro. These two sketches are for a scene I'm playing around with. Going to be making an umbrella next and then will start on the background.
